Role Summary

The Foyer Development and Growth Lead is pivotal to growing the reach and impact of Youth Foyers across Australia as we work with a strong national network of partners towards 50 Foyers by 2030.

The Foyer Development and Growth Lead is responsible for providing quality service development support, consultation services and capability building in Advantaged Thinking and the Youth Foyer approach nationally.

You will be working with community service providers, community housing providers, governments and other key project partners that are developing new Youth Foyer projects - from the early phases of scoping and business case development, through to the design and build of Youth Foyers, service model design, and preparing to open their doors to young people who experience or are at risk of homelessness.

The role requires an in-depth understanding of Advantaged Thinking and the Youth Foyer approach, and the ability to work with organisations to develop high quality Youth Foyer practice models.

The Development and Growth Lead will support the development and implementation of a sustainable fee-for-service business model that will enable The Foyer Foundation to scale the learning, development and quality supports it provides to the Youth Foyer network as the number of Accredited Youth Foyers increases over time.

Who we are

The Foyer Foundation’s purpose is to unlock thriving futures for young people aged 16-24 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We do this by growing the reach and impact of Youth Foyers.

Youth Foyers provide a safe and stable home for young people for up to two years, integrating housing, education, employment and life skills supports - all under one roof. There are currently 16 Accredited Youth Foyers across Australia, and we are in an exciting phase of growth and momentum working towards 50 Foyers by 2030.

Youth Foyers are delivered by a vast network of service providers, big and small, across Australia, working in communities in regional, remote and metro locations.

The role of the Foyer Foundation is to connect up this network and align activities nationally, gather evidence and insights, ensure quality Foyer services through learning and accreditation, and advocate with young people and our growing network. We play an entrepreneurial role, driving innovation and continuous learning and improvement across the Foyer network.

We are a networked organisation. Although we have a small core team, we have strong relationships with many external partners and collaborators, working together to achieve our collective goal of 50 Foyers by 2030.
